treat Helen Baker unfairly on the night of the banquet?
- As far as Mrs. Young was concerned, her daughter Rita did not do enough to preserve her father’s
legacy at Holy Ground Community Church. Do you agree or disagree? Explain.
- In your opinion, what bothered Mrs. Elizabeth Young the most: the fact that her daughter was
involved with a man, who didn’t seem to respect the work that her husband had done in the community or the
fact that her daughter didn’t seem to respect her opinion concerning her relationship with Reverend Green?
- Reverend Michael Green was extremely attracted to Rita Young. In your opinion,
did his attraction towards her ever cause him to behave inappropriately as a
pastor?
- In Greensboro, Alabama, Holy Ground Community Church is a historical black church, and the members are
extremely proud of their history. Do you believe that the members will be able to have that same sense of
pride if their predominately black church becomes the multicultural church that Reverend Michael Green
